A vital daily activity for every Christian is their devotional life. A time set apart to spend time with our Saviour, to read and meditate on His Word, to pray, to sing, and to learn. It is a part of our daily schedule that is not negotiable. Plan a devotional time that works into your schedule. It doesn't have to be a long period of time but should include the elements of Bible reading and prayer. It is helpful if you keep a spiritual journal listing your daily activities with the Lord.* Once you establish the daily habit of keeping track of your devotions, you will find it the best way to do so. Just miss a day and it glares out from the empty white page at you! Jesus said, "I will never leave you or forsake you."
